Smilezor invisible braces

The most innovative solution for adult orthodontic treatment. The Smilezor system consists of a series of custom-made, transparent aligners made from medical-grade plastic, which gently move the teeth into the desired position week by week.

Irregular, crowded or gaps between the teeth are not merely an aesthetic issue

Teeth that are not properly aligned make daily oral hygiene more difficult, as plaque and tartar that accumulate in hard-to-reach spaces between the teeth increase the risk of tooth decay and gum disease. An incorrect bite can also place excessive strain on the temporomandibular joint, which can lead to headaches, abnormal tooth wear or even premature loosening of the teeth.

Many people, however, are put off by adult orthodontic treatment because of the conspicuous metal braces, the sharp wires and the hassle of keeping them clean. At Gere Dental’s clinics in Budapest, we offer the most innovative solution for adult orthodontic treatment: Smilezor® invisible orthodontics, which allows you to restore the beauty of your smile and the health of your teeth discreetly, without disrupting your daily life.

Is Smilezor® the solution?

Why is Gere Dental the best choice for Smilezor® orthodontic treatment?

Gere Dental is not just another dental practice: our surgery the official Smilezor® referral practice.

This means that our dentists are the system’s leading experts and are in direct, daily contact with our state-of-the-art dental laboratory. For you, this guarantees the highest level of professional precision, immediate response times and the quickest possible adjustments throughout your entire course of treatment.

Why Smilezor?

the best choice?

100% discretion

The aligners are almost completely invisible to the outside world. People around you, your colleagues or your friends won’t even notice that you’re wearing braces.

Removable and comfortable

Simply remove the aligner when eating, so you don’t have to give up your favourite foods. There are no sharp metal wires, no clasps that can break off, and no gum irritation.

Easy oral hygiene

The aligner can be removed whilst brushing and flossing, so you can clean your teeth as usual, without any restrictions. This minimises the risk of tooth decay and gum disease compared to fixed braces.

Pain-free movement

Thanks to the digitally calculated, gradual application of force, the movement of the teeth is much gentler and more comfortable.

You’ll save time

There are no emergency call-outs or unscheduled visits due to faulty parts. The less frequent and shorter check-ups can easily be slotted into your busy schedule.

Manufacturer’s advantage

As we work directly with the Smilezor laboratory as a referral practice, your aligners are ready more quickly and any necessary adjustments are made straight away.

until you have the perfect smile

Consultation and 3D scanning

Using our state-of-the-art intraoral scanner, we can take a 3D digital impression of your teeth with an accuracy of a tenth of a millimetre in a matter of minutes, completely painlessly. We supplement this with a panoramic X-ray and photographic documentation.

Digital smile design

Our dentists work with Smilezor®’s engineers and laboratory team to create a 3D visualisation. Through a short video simulation, we’ll show you exactly how your teeth will move, step by step, and what your final smile will look like, even before treatment begins!

Handover of equipment

Once the digital plan has been approved, we will manufacture your personalised Smilezor® aligners. At the clinic, we will hand over your starter pack, fit you with your first pair of aligners, and provide you with all the practical instructions you need for wearing and cleaning them.

Control and monitoring

We usually ask you to come back every 4–8 weeks for a brief check-up, during which we monitor the movement of your teeth and provide you with the next set of aligners.

Retention

The active phase of orthodontic treatment ends when the teeth reach their desired position. However, the bone and connective tissue surrounding the teeth need time to completely remodel and stabilise in their new position; this requires the use of a retainer.

Frequently Asked Questions

We have compiled a list of the most frequently asked questions to give you a clearer idea of what to expect, from your first consultation right through to the end of your treatment.

How many hours a day should the braces be worn?

To achieve the best possible and predictable results, the aligners should be worn for 20–22 hours a day. They should only be removed for meals and when brushing your teeth.

The duration of treatment depends on the severity of the malocclusion. In milder cases, the final result can be achieved in as little as 4–8 months, whilst cases of average complexity take 9–18 months.

No. When a new set of aligners is fitted, you may experience a slight feeling of tightness for the first 1–2 days. This is completely natural, as the aligner is performing its intended micro-movements at this stage, but it is in no way comparable to the discomfort caused by fixed braces.

There may be a slight lisp for the first 1–2 days whilst the tongue gets used to the thin plastic layer, but 99% of patients get used to it completely within a few days and can speak with it without anyone noticing.
